We're BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!

Wow...it has been a while!!  Reading over our previous posts and I am amazed at how far little Toby has come in the 3 years we have had him.  We could NEVER have even imagined what an amazing blessing he would be to our family and to ALL that come in contact with him.  In fact, he has inspired at least 2 other families to pursue adopting a child with Down syndrome!
He is in school full days now and is learning so much.  We are praying for his speech to continue to progress.  In fact, today as I was bringing him to school, he got out of the vehicle, pointed at it and said, "Cah"- in true New England fashion. (I know, we live in Nebraska, but we will ALWAYS be New Englanders at heart :)
Over the past three years, there have been several times where one of us has wanted to pursue adopting another child.  It wasn't until a few weeks ago that both Toby and I were in agreement AND excited about the potential of adding another member to our family.  I think I have to credit it to Ms. Chloe and Clover Laughrey.  We were watching them for several weeks while their mommy and daddy were in Omaha Children's Hospital with their new baby brother.  Now that they went home, our home seems empty :(  Little Toby LOVED having them here as well and we feel that there is no time better than now to pursue adopting a brother for him (too much estrogen in this house!!!)!
We do not have a specific child chosen yet, but do know that we will be adopting domestically this time, for several reasons, and have found a few potentials.  We are in the VERY beginning stages, but would LOVE for you to join us on the journey!!!

Good Bye New Hampshire:(

Today is the last day in New Hampshire. We had to say good bye to our cousins on Monday, which was really sad. We have been at my grandmas and Toby has fallen in love with this singing Santa the shakes his hips. He starts snapping and shaking his hips. Its hilarious to watch him. For my auntie it was hard to say good bye to Toby, because she grew attached to him. Tommorrow mornig we head off to Nebraska. Please pray for us to have safe travels and that Toby will do as well as he had done. Good bye mountains. good bye trees, here we come cornfields.

Christmas!!

Today is Christmas as you all may know. Toby was smiley all day. I think he liked ripping the paper instead of getting the presents. He got Patriot, Celtic, Red Sox, etc. But as you may know since we have to drive back to Nebraska, we only had 1/2 of our Christmas. We have had so much fun at auntie and mammys house. We have made sugar cookies and auntie just adores little T.J.  More pics to come:)

Trip to NH

On Friday night at about 8:00 we set out on the road to go to NH. Toby did REALLY well every rest stop we would let him walk around, but he mostly slept the whole way(which was good). We made it here in 28 hours!! God is AMAZING!!! We didn't see a flake of snow or even a hint of traffic. We arrived here safely on Sunday at 1:00am. We surprised our auntie and she hasn't even met T.J yet. She was in tears when she saw us it was AWESOME!!! Well I'll keep you updated on T.J's 1st Christmas and New Year. Also don't forget to order Mia Bella candles.

Last Saturday T.J. got to see Santa for the 1st time!! We didn't know how he was going to react, but all he did was stare at him thinking who is this weird guy. Also I forgot to mention T.J. LOVES music!!! He also learned some new dancing moves:) He now barely crawls and he is able to do karate kicks, spin, reach down and grab stuff off the floor. Boy, has he grown!!!
